Prerequisites

Check that you are licensed and eligible to upgrade, you must have valid SMSUP licenses for all players.
Check the technical specifications to make sure your system meets the necessary requirements
Review the release notes between your current version and the new one, especially important/breaking changes
Make sure that all Prerequisites are installed
Always make sure you have a healthy backup of your server installation
